Clinical Research Officer
Major Frank O Nnadiwa is deployed as the Assistant Clinical Research Officer (ACRO) at the Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme (MODHIP).
He is also the Liaison Officer of the Programme to Nigeria Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
His primary duties include;
– The formulation of clincal research proposals.
– Development of clinical and epidemiological research protocols
– Data analysis
– Securing ethical review/approval from institutional health research ethics committees.
– He also partakes in implementing the approved Protocols and manuscript writing.
He commenced his military training as a member of Direct Regular Course 19 where he passed out as the overall best cadet.
He attended the Young Officers Course and Medical Intermediate Officers Course and also graduated as the overall best student in both courses. He served as a pioneer veterinary officer at the Nigerian Army Dog Center Lagos, and did two tours as the OC K9 Detachment in 7 Division, Borno state.
Before he was appointed as ACRO at MODHIP, he served as the acting Assistant Director Veterinary Services at the Headquarters Nigerian Army Medical Corps, Lagos.
He has the following qualifications:
– Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree from Ahmadu Bello University
– MSc Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of Lagos
– Master of Disaster Risk Management from the University of Maiduguri
– Fellow Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Science.
He is currently a Resident in Cohort 12 of the Nigeria Field Epidemiology Training Programme (NFETP), as well as the College of Veterinary Surgeons Nigeria.
