She ensures excellence in MODHIP lab services through expert coordination and strategic oversight.

Principal Medical Lab Officer
Commander Chioma Maryrose Onah-Ihenetu is the Principal Medical Laboratory Scientist Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme.
She holds an associate in Medical Laboratory Science and master in International Affairs and Defence Studies.
A medical Laboratory Scientist with over 2 decades of experience, she coordinates all laboratory related activities at programme sites in collaboration with the United States Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Nigeria- Africa.
These include:
– Ensuring provision of quality laboratory services across sites
– Providing day to day technical support
– Supportive supervision
– Liaison with other organizations amongst others.
She is a member of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Management.
Commander Onah-Ihenetu has served at various capacities in the Nigeria Navy Medical Services:
– Instructor NNCHS Offa where she was instrumental to the provisional accreditation of the Medical Laboratory Department.
– Others are Head of Department Laboratory NNH Calabar, NNRH Ojo, NMC VI, NNH Warri before her appointment to MODHIP.
