The Team arrived at the 661 NAFH Laboratory complex at 1208hrs on 24 Jan 25 and were welcomed by the Lab Director, Gp Capt AE Bello. In the company of the Team were the Comd 661 AFH, the CO Clinicals and other officers. All proceeded to the conference room for a brief, which the Lab Director delivered. Additionally, the team was taken on a guided tour of the lab, the training lab, and the classroom. Achievements, challenges and other issues were well noted and were addressed by the DG. The DG commended the Lab Director on their status as a 5-star laboratory accredited by the African Society of Laboratory Medicine. He encouraged them to also strive for accreditation by the American Association of Laboratory (A2LA) promising to provide the equipment, training and technical support needed to achieve this. After the tour of the laboratory complex, there was a brief presentation by Fg Offr IM Amidu on pharmacovigilance and the need for monitoring Adverse Drug Reaction.
